Here at Alan Tuer Ltd, we take privacy very seriously and will only use customers personal information in the administration of the services you require.
Alan Tuer Ltd will be whats known as the ‘controller’ of the personal data provided to us by our customers. We only collect basic information required for our goods and services which include name, address, email and telephone number, no special type of information or location-based information is required.
Why we need it:
We need to know customers basic personal data in order to provide our customers with sales, services, repairs and hire. We will never collect personal information which is not required in order to for fill our services to our customers. We have documented all the lawful bases we need in order to store this personal data, all data is kept securely in locked cabinets, more details can be seen upon request.
What we do with it:
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK however, for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information may be located on servers within the European Union. If customers require a finance package from ourselves this would be provided by Borderway Finance. The information they collect is sent directly to them and stored by them.
No other 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. We at Alan Tuer Ltd have a data protection regime in place in order to ensure a strict and secure processing of our customers data. More information on this can be provided upon request.
How long we keep data:
We are required under UK tax law to keep our customers basic personal data i.e name, address & contact details for a minimum of 8 years after which time it can be destroyed. More information on our retention policy can be provided upon request.
What are our customer rights:
If at any point our customers believe the information we process is incorrect our customers can request to see the data and, in some circumstances have the information deleted or corrected. If a customer wishes to raise a complaint on how we handle our customers personal data then they can contact our Data protection Representative: Simone Foster who will be happy to investigate the matter further.
If our customers are not happy with our response or believe in any way we are processing personal data illegally customers can complain to the Commissioners Office (ICO)
